The city crews completed the distribution of carts for household garbage yesterday. They probably missed a few and they will take care of those as they occur.

Yesterday was also the first day after a holiday that the street department did not pick up trash. When we went to the new system all of the pickups will be handled by the sanitation department crew. Yesterday went rather smooth. They did not complete the total of the two wards yesterday, but they completed the normal tuesday run this morning before they began the normal wednesday route.

I have been pleased with the reception of the citizens with the change to the new system. We have had a few complaints, but a vast majority that have expressed an opinion have been very positive. The workers have also adjusted to the new system very well.

I think that this was a good move for the city and the citizens of Wynne. I am very pleased with the system that is now in place for the sanitation department.
